Setting up a site is really quite easy if you have the right kind of tools and services before you. To be able to accomplish the task of building a website , you will need a reliable web design service provider catering to web page conceptualization, web hosting and domain registering . These days, such site is not hard to find.

There are many websites that serve as a domain registrar and web host at the same time. One of these is GoDaddy.com . The site is among the most popular sites that you can use to easily register and set up your very own domain. www.GoDaddy.com provides superior support for its clients. With this site, even those who do not have prior experience with web hosting can quickly put up a full functioning website in no time.

There are two main steps that you have to be familiar when setting up a website using GoDaddy :

Creating the website itself and setting up your hosting account.

How to create your website

Creating your very own website can take a lot of time and effort primarily if you don’t make use of pre designed web templates. Moreover, you should have basic knowledge on manual coding such as HTML, Javascript, and the like; if you want to build your website from scratch. Fortunately, there are many websites that offer various pre-made web page templates these days.

Aside from web hosting services, www.GoDaddy.com offers a Site builder . This feature allows the customer to set-up a website with a customized theme. Once you log in to the website, you will just have to go to the “Site Builders” menu and create your website account. After you have completed your registration and payment, you can now use the “Website Tonight” feature of GoDaddy. This feature presents a multitude of tools that customers can use to create the lay-out and the designs of the web pages according to his desire.

How to set up your hosting account

In the home page of the GoDaddy website, go to the “Hosting and Servers” menu and then click “Hosting Plans” . Choose a hosting plan that suits your needs and preferences. Define the platform that you will use for your website and choose between Linux and Windows Operating system.

After you have defined your platform, go back to the home page and click “Hosting Servers”. Choose “My Hosting Options” and then “Set up a New Account”. Create your account by filling up a registration form and paying for the registration fees. After you have paid the account, you have to note that it may take some time before your website and web hosting services can be used. Once the account is active, you can now upload your website. However, it usually takes two days before you can have your website up and running.

Personally I am not a friend of Godaddy. They make life very complicated and the upsells are extremely annoying. My preferred web hosting providers in the same market are IX Web Hosting and Hostgator. They are both very reliable and offer great deals.
