Well, did you register your free .info domain names yet? I am referring to my last column in case you have not read it yet. ;-) I did not register any free domain names. I am too busy with the ones I have.
Anyway - the week has been quiet. Except for a sudden surge in new member registrations in our forums. It turns out that some porn spammer is trying to get a) more visitors and b) better search engine ranking. We implemented new security measures for new registrations. We'll see how that works out. But why am I mentioning this here? It seems like we're getting quite popular and receive better search engine rankings - which in return attracts folks like these porn spammers. If you look at the page views of all the topics - the numbers are quite impressive. The forum is just up for a few weeks and a lot of the business information is being read by our guests. As we are providing information for a niche market it feels quite good gaining the needed popularity.
For webhosts this popularity can be helpful. Register in the forums and post your business profile. It will add link popularity with Google and help you to get a better page rank. That is one of the things we are trying to provide for webhosts. Business Information is one thing - supporting the industry the businesses is one additional thing we can provide. Feel free to link back to us and help us to gain better Google ranking. It will help you again as Google values websites with information higher than just plain business websites. If a high value website links back to yours, you will benefit from it.
Maybe we will even start a web hosting business directory to get even more visitors and gain more value within google. Again - you will benefit from it if you do proper Search Engine Optimization. Remember - links to your website will get you a higher Google ranking.
Best regards,
